INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

The ITM Group has over a dozen licensed therapists with advanced degrees. Typically, our therapists have over ten years of experience in the field. Therapists typically work with children, adolescents, and adults with various challenges, such as depression, anxiety, relationship difficulty, career issues, eating disorders, grief, and stress. Each therapist uses a therapeutic approach that is focused on facilitating change and rooted in research. All of our therapists have specialized training in their area of expertise. Over the decades, mental health therapy has changed and people require a more directive and focused approach to accomplishing change. Therapists at The ITM Group are highly skilled and invested in helping you make changes in your life, as well as teaching you the necessary skills to keep making changes after you end therapy.

GROUP TREATMENT

The ITM Group offers an evidence-based treatment approach for the various group programs offered. At The ITM Group, an integrative approach is used in therapy incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy and positive psychology.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) emphasizes the important role of thinking in how we feel and what we do. By exploring patterns of thinking that lead to self-destructive behaviors and the beliefs that direct these thoughts, offenders can modify their patterns of thinking to improve coping and reduce recidivism.
  • Positive Psychology is a strength-based approach which focuses developing offenders’ capacity to attain valued goals and achieve psychological well-being.
